AAPEX 2013 Remanufacturing Section Sells Out

MOKENA, Ill. – July 9, 2013 – The Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) Remanufacturing Section has already sold out for 2013, with 39 exhibitors onboard to promote the environmental, economic and product performance benefits of remanufacturing. AAPEX is set for Tuesday, Nov. 5 through Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Sands Expo Center, in Las Vegas, Nev.

The section is co-hosted by the Motor & Equipment Remanufacturers Association (MERA) and the Engine Rebuilders Council (ERC), and will be located on the upper level of the Sands Expo Center. It will feature exhibits by MERA and ERC member-companies and live engine rebuilding demonstrations by Hendrick Motorsports technicians. Both MERA and ERC will have exhibits in this section to further promote the sustainability benefits of remanufacturing and how it can help AAPEX buyers grow their businesses. To view exhibitors in the Remanufacturing Section and a floor plan of booth locations, visit www.aapexshow.com/level2.

The United States is the world’s largest producer, consumer and exporter of remanufactured goods. In the U.S. automotive, heavy-duty, and heavy-duty off-road sectors, remanufacturing is a $15.4 billion industry that supports more than 56,000 full-time jobs, according to the U.S. International Trade Commission.

“We are very pleased with the continued growth of the AAPEX Remanufacturing Section,” said John Chalifoux, president and COO, MERA. “It is exciting to see remanufacturers and their suppliers – along with the environmental, economic and product performance benefits of remanufactured products – being recognized in one area on the main show floor at AAPEX.”

“Year after year we see greater interest from companies to exhibit and attendees to visit the enhanced AAPEX Remanufacturing Section,” said Rich White, senior vice president, AAIA. “The increased number of booths related to remanufactured products is a reflection of the continued growth in the average age of vehicles, currently at the historic level of 11.3 years for both cars and light trucks, accounting for more than one half of all light vehicles on the road.”
